College Vision:
The College of Administration and Economics seeks to achieve its vision in line with the vision of the University of Basrah to improve the quality of education and learning, which contributes to improving outputs, enhancing skills, supporting human resources, and serving the community through the adoption of internationally accredited academic programs that raise the level of quality of graduates. In addition, it seeks to promote research leadership and adopt technology in finding solutions to economic, financial, administrative, accounting, and statistical challenges
Mission:
The College of Administration and Economics, through its scientific, administrative and student affairs departments, is keen to direct its mission towards enhancing the quality of graduates by keeping pace with modernity and technological development, which contributes to preparing graduates who are intellectually qualified and possess practical skills that meet the requirements of the labor market. The college is also keen to enhance and strengthen the system of scientific research that achieves the standards of sustainable development. In addition, it is keen to promote the principle of partnership in addressing problems in the administrative system of governmental institutions and the private sector, while emphasizing the application of the principle of (twinning) with Iraqi, Arab and international universities and colleges to learn about the latest developments in various fields.
The Goals:
The College of Administration and Economics sets a primary goal of elevating society through leading educational and research excellence, adopting this as the foundation for achieving the following objectives:
1- The college is committed to enhancing the quality of education to achieve rankings within Iraqi and international classification systems, in line with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the University of Basrah.
2- Working to develop the teaching and administrative staff across various disciplines and strengthening partnerships with different colleges and academic institutions to raise the level of the educational process.
3- A strong focus on developing academic expertise in managing the electronic educational system through the adoption of international electronic systems and programs, which contributes to creating a unified academic environment across all public and private universities and colleges, thus enhancing educational quality standards and international rankings.
4- Focusing on developing administrative work through the adoption of modern automation systems and electronic archiving.
5- Developing the college's infrastructure and administrative capabilities necessary to fulfill its responsibilities in accordance with the university's direction.
6. Supporting outstanding talents among college members at both the academic and professional levels, which contributes to fostering a spirit of competition.
7. The college is committed to holding scientific conferences and seminars that promote partnerships to address challenges and find appropriate solutions.
